Challenge
Ozone Light designs sculptural lighting for an international clientele: private mansions, palace hotels, private collectors. Its pieces light some of the finest interiors in Europe, but the old site presented them like a catalog and said nothing about what sets them apart. With Ezperanza Studio, we had to give the brand an online presence worthy of its pieces, understated and precise, one that makes people want to get in touch with the studio.
Approach
We started from the photography. Ozone shoots every piece in the studio and in situ, and we wanted those images to drive the layout. With Ezperanza, we built the templates as a succession of shots, with few elements per screen and typography that keeps the image in front. Filters, search and navigation between collections stay in the background until the visitor calls them up.
Key solutions
We developed the WordPress theme from scratch, without a page builder. The Ozone team manages the four templates (collection, designer, project, product page) itself, in French, English and German. A single search queries both the 29 projects and the 50 products in the catalog. We animated the navigation and sliders with GSAP, keeping slow transitions that let the photography fill the screen.
